Surf Snowdonia Terms and Conditions of Service


Before taking part in any adventurous activity at Surf Snowdonia the participants agrees that:


Adventurous Outdoor Activities such as surfing, canoeing and watery obstacle courses etc. are physical and demanding sports which obviously have inherent hazards associated with them. We take all necessary precautions to try and ensure the safety of all participants at all times.


Each participant should familiarise themselves with the hazards and try and minimise these as much as possible by complying with Surf Snowdonia risk management guidelines.


Furthermore, it is understood and agreed that the individuals participate at their own risk.  If you are unsure of your physical fitness required to participate in an activity at Surf Snowdonia, we recommend that you seek independent medical advice.


In booking an activity with Surf Snowdonia you declare that to the best of your knowledge you do not have a medical or physical condition which would preclude you from taking part in any activity at Surf Snowdonia.





Whilst every reasonable attempt will be made to deliver Surfing and activity sessions, Surf Snowdonia reserves the right to cancel or modify any session due to safety considerations and factors beyond our control.


As part of the continual review of safety and associated considerations, the conditions of booking are subject to change, clarification and modification at any time. Only the Senior Management Team or his/her Appointed Deputy is empowered to vary or waive any of the conditions of booking. Such decisions are totally at the discretion of the Senior Management Team or the Appointed Deputy.






The Management accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or injury resulting from any persons’ involvement in any activity participated in at Surf Snowdonia except where injury is caused by the negligence of Conwy Adventure Leisure Ltd or its employees, servants or agents.


Surf Snowdonia is under no liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to property, however caused, whilst at Surf Snowdonia. Surf Snowdonia is not responsible for any repairs or replacements of boards/equipment which may be needed from damage caused during your session on the water.

Surf Snowdonia holds public liability cover.  We highly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance to cover any consequential losses due to any unforeseen damage to property or cancellation of sessions.






Due to the strenuous nature of outdoor activities, all participants must be physically able. Anyone with a medical condition or injury which may impede their ability to Surf should consult their medical practitioner to assess their ability to participate in these activities.


On arrival you will be asked to sign a statement of risk confirming your ability to participate. On arrival you will be asked to sign a statement of risk confirming your ability to participate.


All participants must be able to swim and be confident swimming in open water. For any participant under the age of 16 years old, a parent/guardian or another adult authorised by the parent/guardian will be required to agree to their participation in activity sessions (they will be required to sign agreeing to these terms and conditions on behalf of under 16 year olds on the day).


Spectacles can be a hazard to you whilst participating in activity sessions. You are strongly recommended not to wear spectacles of any kind. If you choose to wear spectacles you must accept that injury may occur and accept full responsibility for any such injury. Participants may wear contact lenses.


Activity participants will not be permitted to consume alcohol or drugs prior to or during the session. The Centre Staff reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


The Centre Staff may require any participant to leave an activity session if that person acts in any such manner as to endanger him/herself or any other Surf Snowdonia user.


The course participants must remain the same throughout the session. Places are non transferable once the session has started.


Surf Snowdonia recognise the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people in surfing and watersports. Whilst taking part in an activity, participants may be photographed by Surf Snowdonia or their approved agents. These images may be used for promotion of activities by Surf Snowdonia. If this is not acceptable please contact Surf Snowdonia in advance of your booking. Your wishes will be respected. We will take all possible steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purpose they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform Surf Snowdonia immediately.


Surf Snowdonia operates a policy of inclusivity; if you or your group have any specific requirements we recommend that you contact the centre in advance to ensure that suitable arrangements can be made.


Due to the hazardous nature of activities run by Surf Snowdonia, activity participants must arrive on time to attend a comprehensive safety briefing, failure to do so will result in you being unable to participate in this activity.






There is always the possibility of the waves being turned off at short notice e.g. following a mechanical breakdown. Participants must therefore check on the most up-to-date information regarding operations before travelling. This can be done by checking the website –


A full or partial refund using the original method of payment or rearrange will be made in the event of failure to deliver by Surf Snowdonia any activity session. Surf Snowdonia does not accept any liability for any consequential losses or out of pocket expenses or costs incurred as a result of cancellation by Surf Snowdonia.  We recommend all participants to have in place valid travel insurance before your date of departure.






For safety reasons, participants on the Splash & Crash and canoeing sessions must wear Surf Snowdonia helmets and buoyancy aids. A suitable wetsuit and equipment must be worn for all Surfing sessions; participants may wear their own wetsuits, we advise these to be long legged, have been checked by our Centre Staff and deemed suitable for the activity.

Damage to or loss of centre equipment caused by negligence, malicious acts or carelessness must be paid for at the time at current replacement value. Clients should bring swimwear and a towel.






All activities must be paid for in full at time of booking.

Please remember to bring along your booking confirmation for your activity session/accommodation stay.


Off peak and Peak times:- School holidays, Bank Holidays and weekends are peak times, all other times are off peak


All prices are subject to change.




Where applicable a child is classed as anyone 13 and under.

An adult is classed as anyone aged 14 and over.




All Surfing participants under the age of 8 years old must be accompanied in the water by an adult .

No Refunds will be offered which arise from circumstances that are beyond the control of the Surf Snowdonia, except for mechanical failure.

If an activity session for individuals has to be cancelled due to there being fewer than the minimum participants for the session, Surf Snowdonia withholds the right to offer to transfer the booking to another time, date or provide a full refund.






Refund Policy for standard bookings up to 11 people.


Bookings can be amended without penalty up to 7 days prior to activity date.


Booking amendments cannot be made within 7 days of activity date. A voucher for 50% of the booking amount will be available.


Bookings that are cancelled up to 7 days prior to activity date will be entitled to a voucher for the full booking amount. No refund will available.


Bookings that are cancelled within 7 days of activity date will be entitled to a voucher for 50% of the booking amount. No refund will be available.


Cancelations or amendments cannot be made within 24 hours of the booking time, no refund or vouchers will be provided.


Bookings that are missed or arrive late for any reason whatsoever will not be entitled to a refund or voucher for any part of the booking amount.




Refund Policy for group bookings of 12 and over


A 20% deposit is required to secure a Group Booking. Until this deposit has been received no sessions can be reserved.


Full balance is due 20 days prior to activity date. Bookings not paid in full will be cancelled and deposits cannot be refunded in any way.


Bookings can be amended up to 20 days prior to activity date.


Booking amendments cannot be made within 20 days of activity date. No refund or voucher will be provided.


Bookings that are cancelled up to 20 days prior to activity date will lose any deposit paid.


Bookings that are cancelled within 20 days of activity date will be entitled to a 50% voucher of amount paid.


Cancelations or amendments cannot be made within 24 hours of the booking time, no refund or vouchers will be provided.


Bookings that are missed or arrive late for any reason whatsoever will not be entitled to a refund or voucher for any part of the booking amount.





Gift vouchers can be used as full or part payment towards a booking.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift voucher no change will be given. The vouchers are available to use once only – if there is an amount left over on the voucher after the voucher has been used, no credit will remain.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the validity period and cannot be extended or redeemed after this date.

Gift vouchers can be redeemed online or by calling our Booking Line on 01492 353123, check the expiry date and the balance of your voucher.

Surf Snowdonia treat gift vouchers as cash and therefore will not accept liability for lost or stolen vouchers.

Surf Snowdonia  reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the gift vouchers at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the voucher, at its discretion, if it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your legal rights.






For lost property enquiries please contact the Booking Line on 01492 353123 or email If your item is found, items will be held at Surf Snowdonia for a maximum period of 1 months. After this time, if the item remains unclaimed, the item will be donated to charity. Surf Snowdonia accepts no responsibility for returning items to you, or for any items of lost property that remain unclaimed within this timeframe.

Unnecessary noise or any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind is not permitted in any part of the site.


Smoking (including of e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited inside Surf Snowdonia.


All facilities located at Surf Snowdonia must only be used in accordance with the relevant operator’s instructions.






Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk.


We take no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park and no guarantee is given as to the security of vistors vehicles in the car park or any contents.


Overnight use Motor homes, camper vans, caravans or any other vehicle of a similar nature are not permitted unless booked through the appropriate channels.






Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited at Surf Snowdonia.


We reserve the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to any animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress. Guide dogs are allowed.






You are permitted to take casual photographs within the site save for in the changing areas, toilets and showers. Any photographs shall be solely for private use and shall not be sold or used for any commercial or public purpose. By accepting these Entry Conditions, you acknowledge that Surf Snowdonia may on demand have access to photographs taken by you and request that certain photographs are deleted if they are deemed to invade the privacy of other visitors and/or staff. By accepting these Entry Conditions, you agree not to intentionally photograph any individual (other than family and friends) without that person’s permission and you must adhere to all photography restrictions in place whilst within on site. From time to time Surf Snowdonia or other authorised parties carry out photography and/or video recording on site, which may feature guests. Entry to Surf Snowdonia is deemed acceptance of these Entry Conditions, and you therefore agree that Surf Snowdonia or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with Surf Snowdonia or such authorised party (as the case may be). You are not permitted to fly any drone aircraft within the grounds of Surf Snowdonia






CCTV cameras are used to assist in the proper running of Surf Snowdonia.


However, we do not make any representation as to the extent of coverage provided by the cameras.


All items, belongings and other property brought into Surf Snowdonia by you are at your own risk and we accept no liability for any loss or damage to such property.
