Position Available

  • Full time head chef
  • Wages; Salaried £23.000 per annum (plus overtime)
  • Hours; 40 hours plus
  • 28 days holiday per annum (inclusive of bank holidays)

Skills required & and entry requirements

  • Excellent Cooking skills (with a minimum of 5 years’ experience)

  • The ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
  • The ability to stay calm and overcome any food production problems
  • A qualification in food safety
  • Experience in similar role is essential
  • Ability to work as a team in a fast paced busy environment

 

Day to Day duties

You will organise and manage the work of the kitchen staff, decide which tasks need to be done and share these among the team.

  • Making sure food is of the right quality
  • Planning specials
  • Working shifts, involving early breakfast shifts and late nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Managing stock
  • Ordering food from suppliers
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Managing health and hygiene procedures

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience

  • Replying to emails, voicemails and call back messages
  • Dealing with a huge and varied range of customer enquiries
  • Forwarding customers to the correct department via the switchboard
  • Identifying and booking customers onto the correct wave for their skill/experience level
  • Checking customers in for their booked sessions or accommodation
  • Taking payments on the PDQ machines and cash handling. Cashing up at the end of the day

Opportunities for surf enthusiasts to share their passion with others as Surf Instructors.

 

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

• Full time from March – December 2017.
• Usually 15 lessons a week.
• Wages: £25-£28 per lesson depending on qualifications and experience.

 

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

Surf instructors will teach students of all ages with varying levels of experience. Instruction takes place both on land and in the water. Instructors are expected to inspect equipment before and after class, explain and demonstrate proper surfing technique, supervise and ensure the safety of students, keep records of attendance, and direct the students in clean up.

 

Surf instructors must hold a current, valid;

  • ISA Level 1 and 2 Surf Instructors
  • SLSGB Surf Coach Life Saving/beach lifeguard

Here at Surf Snowdonia we have a range of opportunities for water sports lovers in an outdoor, hands-on role keeping surfers safe in the Surf and Crash & Splash Lagoons. You will need to already be qualified or able to complete the Beach Lifeguard course.  

 

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

 

• Full time from 21st March – December (min 30hours PW up to 50hours PW during peak season). 
• Usually 5 days on / 2 days off. 
• Part time roles available covering weekends and school holidays. 
• £6.75- £9.00 per hour depending on qualifications & experience.

 

JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

Responsibility for all aspects of safety including inductions, safety briefings and Lagoon lifeguarding. Lifeguards must hold current valid Life Saving Award and CRB checkCourses for this will be available at the beginning of the season.

Shortlisting  

Over the next few weeks, we will be looking through the applications and shortlisting candidates who best match our criteria. Interview  

If you are shortlisted, you will need to attend an interview. These will be held over 5th – 9th February, either on skype or face to face. Please remember to bring your ID and copy of Qualifications.  

 

 

 Selection day 

You may be asked to attend a selection day. For some candidates, we need to see you meet the Swimming and Fitness requirements for the role. Don’t be put off by this, we just need to make sure that when it comes to the season starting you will be good to go!

If you’re successful at the interview and selection day, you will be given a conditional offer. Subject to having all qualifications and checks completed.

We are seeking experienced Freelance Photographers to join our creative team. Successful applicants will be self motivated and serious about furthering their freelance career. They will appreciate the approach necessary to be a successful Freelance Photographer. This is an exciting opportunity for a photographer with an interest in surfing to add a significant project to their portfolio.

 

ROLE SUMMARY

Freelance Photographers will shoot all levels of surfing and consistently produce high quality surf photography. In addition they will interact with surfers, encouraging them to view and purchase images. This fast paced environment will appeal to those seeking a challenge.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • A number of years experience working as a Freelance Photographer.
  • Your portfolio will include action/sport photography.
  • You will have worked on projects in various environments and weather conditions.

 

SKILLS

  • Competently produce high quality imagery, with strong composition in constantly changing conditions.
  • Skilled Mac user, proficient in Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Be able to efficiently process large batches of images in preparation for sales, and contribute to improving workflows.
  • You will be comfortable working in an exciting and fast moving environment. This will challenge you to be focused, and plan each shoot in order to successfully fulfill the brief.
